AMERICA SKMSC has been an activist/awareness organization for the community of South-Central Los Angeles for more than 39 years. Our hope for America is to be a safe harbor for America's kids, schools, and communities.
AMERICA SKMSC has participated in the Just Say No campaign of Nancy Reagan, the D.A.R.E. campaign of the Los Angeles Unified School District, and the S.A.N.E. campaign of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Our nonprofit was founded by Howard "Mr. Happy" Eley, who has four decades of sobriety and experience working with different organizations to promote smart choices in our youth.
President Richard Nixon declared the war on drugs, and who was the enemy? YOU. We are the enemy. Society, in general, is the enemy. Join us in saving lives and protecting our youth!

Our Pledge
I, ________, know that the purpose of my life is to be free to choose happiness as the beacon that guides me to freedom. To be the architect and builder of my spiritual connection to a power greater than myself, to go about each day with the attitude of “Yes, I expect to win, and I will.”
I promise to always respect my body as the holy temple that it is and not pollute it with diseases, alcohol, food, drugs, tobacco, and/or negative thought or deeds. To share with my friends the honesty that I share with myself, always be good to myself, and accept propriety and abundance as my divine birthright.
I will go in love and peace and always remember that it's okay to say "No, thanks!"
